EDM challenge no. 63

"Go on a nature walk, pick up items, draw what you find." That´s a nice challenge. My dear M´s son found these on a little walk the other day. They are very small (about 1,5 cm), looking like mushrooms but are probably some kind of moss or lichen (don´t know their name even in Swedish). You see those everywhere in the forests here, but never with that red thingy on top. What in the world is that? Do these things bloom? Do you know?

Hi Nina...I don't know the botanical name either, but in the States they're called British Soldiers, for their little red "coats"...

Nina, I discovered you yesterday, and thoroughly enjoyed my journey through your books. This too is a lovely little find. Has a male, female appearance. Not something that I am familiar with, but none the less, a beautiful "find", to study for a moment. I will be back...

I have no idea what they are, but they are nice drawings! I love your sketchbook too. It makes me want to keep a proper sketchbook myself.

This is a delightful sketch and the shadows look 'observed from life.' Always, always a good manner in which to work.
