Springtime

Today I finally got a chance to draw these little fellas, I´ve been wanting to for at least a week. I thought it was about time to have some spring here on the blog.

The reason for the lack of updates here lately is that I´ve been preparing for a little course I´m giving this weekend. Some sweet people have invited me to a place near Örebro to show them how I make my sketchbooks. Who can say no to something like that? Sketchbooking should always be encouraged, as much as possible, don´t you think? :)

12.5 x 12.5, Lamy Safari with Noodler´s Lexington gray ink and watercolours on Arches Satinée watercolour paper.

Wonderful sketch, Nina! I especially like the vivid black in the background; a mix of red and dark blue, I suppose...

I agree, a sweet, yet stong sketch and the background makes them Standout to strongly. and what a wonderful class they will get, wish I could attend.

your bit of spring is beautiful. I'm just wondering what you are going to be teaching your book making group.

Lovely spring touch from you here Nina. And I'm also going to make your book, will look up your post you did on it a while back. And again, good luck on that class! ronell

What a treat, to see some flowers from you. But I did have to linger over that beautiful corner building on your previous post. I agree, lucky people who will be taking your class.

Many, many warm thanks Nina, for a marvellous course this weekend! I have seldom seen a bunch of people so proud of what they/we where creating in such a short time as two days. Every one of us (10 persons) ended up with two beautiful books of our own!
I will really enjoy mine!

I hope you had a pleasant trip home! A big hug from me and some licking from the dogs!

I can only agree with everything christina says! Two wonderful days of inspiration and koncentrated work, which ends up with two self-made books. That is happiness, for sure. :)

Many thanks Nina and also thanks for the company back to Stockholm, it made the trip feel much faster, time just flied away chatting with you.

Just lovely, Nina! Really love the contrast, and you've captured the delicacy of these little flowers perfectly (they're blooming in my woods, too!)

And congratulations on the class, I'm envious of your students...

Kram!
