Me again

Used unusual tools for me here - mechanical pencil and eraser. I don´t often make serious drawings with pencils, don´t know why. I love pencil, really. I´ve just abandoned it, somehow.
I worked rather roughly here, I like it when you can see the hatching and alternative lines here and there, I don´t usually go for pencil work smudged into hazy smooth gray surfaces...

12,5 x 15,5 cm, pencil on Fabriano Artistico hot press paper.

The quality of your pencil work is very nice, especially if you, as you say, don't do that much.

You have lovely eyes in these portraits. I've noticed my own self portraits seem to have prominent eyes - more so than on my real face. For me, that's a good thing as my real eyes are on the small side : )

The highlight in the right eye is to die for Nina. I love to see the hatching too.

Note to self: more cross-hatching practice. Excellent Nina!

This is my favorite among your self-portraits, Nina. I like to see the hatching, too, when it's done as well as you've done it here.

I like this whole series of self-portraits... you could do an exhibition-full! I agree about hazy smudged surfaces, the lively linework is much more interesting to me.
