Autumn means café drawings

I took a long walk last Saturday, enjoying not so much the autumn weather outside as the warmth and the perfect coffee at this place, Kaffe och Drömmar (Coffee and dreams), at Södermalm in Stockholm.

I don´t know about this drawing... the composition is non existing, and there´s not really a subject to capture (I was hoping someone would sit down in that window, but no). I´m pretty happy with the back of that gray car out there, though - it actually looks like the Volvo it was. Unfortunately the red one does not look like a Saab, but hey, you can´t get it right every time.

12.5 x 15 cm, Neopico fineliner and watercolours on Fabriano Artistico hot press paper.

Huh, I actually really like the composition on this one! Great drawing all around, and really well done mood/lighting.

I love the colors in this. Looks like a wonderful place to sit and sketch. Yes, you did nail that Volvo!

What a funny comment about someone sitting there - people just won't cooperate when you're trying to draw :)
I really like the way the pillows look all soft and squishy.

This is such a strong sketch. The cozy warmth of the interior is palpable and in such strong contrast with the view we see from the window. The pillows on the banquette are glowing and, in fact, your colors here are rich and just lovely.
I'm so glad we'll both be contributing to the Urban Sketchers blog---this would be a fantastic addition to it!

I love the drawing. A view of a view! I can't tell a Saab from any other car. It's a red car out there. I think it's a great pic but did you just draw it at the coffee shop or did you paint it there too?

OMG...Do they rent rooms?...No, hang on...I don't sleep! Do they rent tables...24 hours a day? I'd be quite happy on that window seat with all those soft cushions and a latte drip stuck in my arm.
Wonderful sketch...I like that it's different compositionally, it's interesting and creates a kind of interaction with the viewer rather than just laying it all out in a harmonious order

Well, its fun to see someone who has such talent pick on their work. It looks awesome, and most of the rest of us would love to have created it. It really is beautifully done.

I couldn't leave a comment last time I tried, Nina but I had to come back to enjoy the warmth and beauty of this painting again. Love your latest sketchcrawl too.
