Good old pencil

It´s been a long time since I picked up a pencil to draw with. I usually go for ink or possibly a light pencil sketch and then watercolours, but yesterday I found one of those cheapo plastic mechanical pencils laying around in the kitchen and got the urge to draw with it. I have this old one-legged doll that my father found under a barn near our summer house years and years ago, a perfect subject for a little evening pencil sketch.

These old dolls are kind of creepy with their eyes closed...

12.5 x 15 cm, pencil on Fabriano Artistico hot press paper.

LOL, yes, he IS a little creepy. I could tell this was not a beloved childhood toy. But it is an interesting drawing.

Beautifully drawn but very creepy and not something that I would want to have kept or even brought home, there is something about dolls like this that can send shivers down my spine

Maybe you just drew it creepy! *lol*

If I stare at my dolls long enough, they can become mechanical and creepy, plus they can stare back forever.

Love your sketch!

Good sketch but yep, those eyes are creepy. Sure you don't want to take that artistic license and make them look open?

Oh, great sketch - you've wonderfully caught the creepiness of dolls.

This is an incredible drawing. I wouldn't hang it in my bedroom, but I think it's amazingly well done.
