Crayon play

Playing around with the crayons again. Thick crayons are more like painting than drawing, really. Fun and difficult. Used myself as a model in front of a mirror, though the beige image isn´t me at all... I think it´s hilarious the way I seem to have a horn in my forehead in the top drawing - it fits my angry frown. :)

13.x 17,5 cm, watercolour wash and Caran d´Ache Neocolor I crayons on sketchbook pages.

I really like the way you used a variety of colors in the skin tones in the second one...very effective.

That's not an angry frown - just that "I'm doing a self portrait" look! I love what you do with crayons - you are really amazing!

Kritor ger inte samma slumpens skördar som vattenfärg eller lavering men blir tydliga och uttrycksfulla. Bra porträtt. Jag tycker självporträtt är riktigt svårt

I have just found your blog from a brush with color's and your paintings are an inspiration. I'm happy for you that the ones in the latest blog entry were accepted for the exhibition, I am not surprised though. You have a rare talent.
