These are absolutely glorious, I adore this technique, the blocks and over glazing, I would love to know how you achieved this fabulous effect - Real WINNERS!!! Congratulations on the exhibit!

Nina, I have to say that your work is just amazing, you are really my inspiration. I'm planning to go to Estocolm in the next SketchCrawl, just to visit the places where Lisbeth Salender is suposed to be living (Stieg Larsson books). The date is not fixed jet, but it will be a pleasure to meet you there!

I live in Spain, have you ever been in Barcelona? maybe we can make it here?

Take a look on my web if you have a minute.

Kind regards.

Congratulations on your exhibition, and good luck! I can't choose a favourite piece from the three, they are all wonderful.

This is my favourite - probably because it has more colour. Like the embossed leaf motif on the left.

I like the combination of realism and design, dividing the page. Very effective.

I thought the monochromes were great... this one with colors..... EVEN BETTER!!! ^^ I mean, they are all great, but colors always stirs up different kind of emotions, especially those windows with different colors.. :) Makes me want to be there.

I don't know how to email you other than this comment space---I am getting into your site and checking this and that and how thrilled I am to find M Ward--her work is so inspirational and nobody can very often beat her---I did collage of this type for years and am happy to reconnect..thanks to you. It just dawned on me that people comment on how I put several things on a page etc--well, it's from those days that that comes from--I have not even begun to scratch the surface of so many concepts that are collage derived. I like your three paintings for this feel, too. Somehow I erroneously thought this EDM site was strickly for sketchers in pencil, pen etc--and to go out of that zone was stretching it--I hope not, because I am most happy outside the zone, you know a bit "off"--and at the same time I love what Danny Glover stands for and the "edmers" are amazing with the creative work they do. There are so many different talents. I have learned a great deal. Winna

These are beautiful. I love the combination of different elements in each. The stencil type design reminds me of wallpaper in old houses...kind of like seeing the inside and outside at the same time.

I really don't know how to add to all of the comments others have made and that you so richly deserve. Since I began surfing art blogs, your paintings & drawings have been my ideal. I think your work is beautiful, and these three are, I believe, the best of the best so far. I am partial to #1 because of the way you have creatively combined three aspects into one coherent whole and achieved such a peaceful sense of place. All three pieces are remarkable. I would love to see them individually framed and hanging side by side on a wall. Thank you.

Congratulations on stepping outside your comfort zone with submitting not one but three paintings. Bravo. Your work is wonderful and I agree with all of the commentors that your use of design, color and image to express a feeling is perfict.
